I remember you not being a fan of Christain Ponder. I believe you considered him a 5th-6th round pick. Has your opinion changed at all with his impressive rookie play?

Christain Ponder hasn't played enough to grade him at this point...

I've only seen a couple of games of his, and I have to say he played better than I thought he would. I still don't think he'll amount to much, but we'll see soon enough.

Oh yes! Of course it does. I always said Ponder had the potential to be a pretty good QB in a WCO like Jeff Garcia was. I just think he had Jeff Garcia type talent (meaning he's pretty limited IMO).

I also think the odds of him being a good QB for the long term are against him. I think he'll probably be close to average though.

I didn't say he reminded me of Jeff Gracia; I just think he's similarly limited (to a lesser degree).

For sure, small sample size.

5th rounder can turn out. I see what you saying. I think he will be a good starter in the league though. He is a very smart guy who was hidered by injuries. If he says healthy he has the tools.
