Nikolai Zherdev Looking To Return To The NHL?

The Toronto Maple Leafs were rumored to have an interest in the enigmatic Russian winger, but they have denied that claim. The Buffalo Sabres are another possible destination for Zherdev. He is looking for a multi-year deal worth a reported $4 million per season. Zherden posted 13 goals and 26 assists in 52 games with Atlant Mytischi in the Kontinental Hockey League last season.
