A thread of current and former Giants' nicknames:
{...}
Brandon Crawford - Stamos, Crawbaby

Melkman
Oxy
Chez3
Riot
The Beard
J Lo (is that a thing?)

Personally I wouldn't count terms used just on this board as "player nicknames". Has anybody heard any of the above used on radio or TV?

From the old board:

Teh Lord: Barry Lamar Bonds

Teh Manatee: Livan Hernandez

Not sure why we were so stuck on using "Teh" on the old Mouse board. I think it drove some legalists crazy, so I guess that makes sense.

Yeah someone on the old board posted the reason once. It had to do with one poster who had finger dyslexia, and constantly used "teh" instead of "the".

It stuck and became a meme there.

What the heck is a "Noble" prize? Recognition from black cops?

Good one. I always liked Tiny. Unfortunately, so did most opposing pitchers. Pre-steroids, my dad and I called Benard "Starvin' Marvin." Post: Marvin "How Did I Jump 3 Hat Sizes?" Benard. We also called Willie McGee "Turtlehead." I don't know if he ever got a legitimate nickname. Did Dan Gladden and Jack Clark have nicknames? My mom used to call Eugenio "El Bandito," but that's almost too positive. And, of course, Bengie Molina was "Big Money" at the beginning and "Tubagoo" toward the end.

By the way, Marco, this is a spot for any nickname that you would like to throw out there. It doesn't have to have been used by any sort of Giants "authority" figure. In fact, the really good ones (ie. Oxy and PTMFB) would never be used by any of the SF brass.

IIRC, McGee was called "ET" and JC was "The Ripper."
