Yeah, I'm on the Isles train too (which I hope does not derail today). Trotz is a good dude and I think it will be the perfect salt in the wound for him to win it all the same year the Caps fire the dude they let him go for.

Plus, outside Cal Clusterfuck, they don't have anyone to really hate. And on that front he's not super awful like Corey Perry or Nikita Kucherov.

I've noticed in the Twitterverse that Oilers fans are full of glee now that MacKinnon has been knocked out of the playoffs as they were all triggered at the "MacKinnon is better than McDavid" narrative that had been circulating. They are both great players, but one of them actually skates as hard in the defensive zone as he does in the offensive zone and that is the one who plays for the Avs.
