i wouldnt feel to shaken up about it honestly and im hoping they get him over winnipeg if the lottery goes to a western team ... the wild are a pretty bad team lol Fiala is something and they have kaprizov coming but otherwise that theyve got alot of old loose meat lol

Fuck the Wild. They caused the last lockout. They got off easy not having recapture on Parise and Suter. Make them wallow in mediocrity for a bit longer.

As you know, the Oilers had the 1st overall pick for three consecutive years. The league then changed the rules to prevent that kind of thing from happening again, but didn't go far enough and the Oilers landed McDavid. That said, I see your point that a number of fans would be upset if the Penguins won the draft lottery today.

I get that, as a Flames fan, you hate the Oilers with the fire of two thousand suns and want nothing good to come to them. So I wasn't questioning why you don't want them to get first overall. I don't want them to get it either. They've had enough bites at that apple. I just have an intense hatred of the NHL's likely rewarding of the Penguins obvious tank job in the Qualifying Round. They've got Crosby and Malkin. That's enough, IMO. Let another team (MINN, WPG, etc.) get the first overall pick.

Oh and just say no to Toronto, NHL!!
