So, does Taylor Hall sign with whoever wins this lottery, to keep the streak going?

Oh and just say no to Toronto, NHL!!
Teams like Toronto, Pittsburgh, the Rangers etc. are teams that generally spend to the cap and want to win every single season. Every year at lottery time people bitch and moan about “tanking” teams getting 1OA but now that a non-tanking team is about to do it people are bitching because they realize that non-tanking teams are teams they generally dislike.

So sure, let Florida get a superstar-in-waiting and continue to run their club like a joke while being rewarded for it. At least it wasn’t one of those entertaining teams.

Florida doesn't have the cap space for that for some reason.

Tieing up $14.5M in goalies is almost as dumb as (pick any Leaf signing of the last 2 years). Well, as I think about it, no it is dumber.

Yes I have included the Luongo recapture penalty plus the Darling buyout.

Uh huh...interesting. You call Pittsburgh a "non-tanking" team and to that I say nay nay. :nono: Pittsburgh's tank job was so obvious ML Carr* was said to have been jealous.

* - For those not in the loop, M.L. Carr was the Boston Celtics head coach for the 1996-97 NBA season. The Celtics that season, were accused of tanking for the first overall pick in the '97 draft.

Pittsburgh hasn’t tanked in over 15 years. What the fuck that has to do with this year’s draft is beyond me.

Yeah, that's why they're getting ready to play the Bruins tomorrow and not hoping the NHL rigs this new lottery in their favor tonight. :L
You really think the Penguins tanked against the Habs? You can't be serious. :L

As serious as a heart attack. I knew this was going to happen when the placeholder team won 1OA. I even said at the beginning of this particular round, that the Pens were going to tank to get first overall. They knew they had no chance at the Cup this year.

Before any of this happened there is no way you could say that because they were good enough to be a playoff team. And if you want to go on about an inane conspiracy then what about the 7 other teams. Did they tank on purpose also?

On another note, Wings fans have to be especially sour. They finished 29 points behind the 30th place team in the league and they get to pick 4th overall.
