When you tell your grandkids of you favorite gambling losses I would say i was 5 of 6 on the parlay when the Leafs of all teams crushed my hopes. It’s technically a lie but it makes the story so much better.

i think theyd want to keep the first round bye for the top 4s so it seems like the regular season means something lol

this next round will be interesting. Are the top 4’s going to annihilate the play in round winners because theyre healthy and rested or will they be rusty and caught off guard early by battle tested teams

Hope so but with Ahl presumably playing at same time makes expanded rosters difficult.

i think the nhlpa would be all for a rule revision allowing more player movement between ahl/nhl for the one week playin round so more players are getting the increased nhl pay (albeit prorated)

Thought players didn't get salary for playoffs.
Who knows what the rule is for "play-ins"

Though maybe it would count as days on nhl roster.
Which creates its own cap concerns.

yah true. But I still think theyll probably overcome any obstacles to make this a thing though

So it's either St. Louis or Dallas for the Flames (likewise for the Canucks). I think the Flames match-up better against Dallas and I've never thought that Ben Bishop is a big game goalie. Always tough to knock off the defending Cup champs as well. Gimme the Stars.

That’s one thing that is pretty evident on all the broadcasts I’ve seen so far with the bubble set up.
