The pleas from the Jets bench didn’t quite work. It was the worst Jets power play of the evening. As a Flames forechecker pressured Neal Pionk, a Flames player stood up on the bench and began to heckle.

“That guy is done!” he yelled. “Tired, he’s so fucking tired.”

The interjection of the Flames player turned out to be prophetic. Moments later, Tobias Rieder beat Pionk on a rush.
