I wonder how happy the Oilers are with a 9 game road trip in a compressed 48 game scheduled due to the fact that Edmonton is hosting the Brier.

Looking at some of these schedules and just how compressed this is really going to be is surprising. Every other night is how the next four months will be for the fans, and more importantly, the players.

Hope the injury bug stays away. Injuries will be the most important element to this hack of a regular season.

* The Flyers are on national TV in the United States 22 times: NBC Sports Network 13 times, NBC twice (both opening weekend) and NHL Network six times.

only 5 back-to-backs for the Nucks, not too bad.
not thrilled about starting the season off with one, after 8 or 9 months off.

First two home games against Detroit and Chicago.

Well, that will guarantee some tickets get sold.

Then in early Feb the Kings come to town. That'll garner some interest as well. Everyone will be looking to see if Jack Johnson brings a machete instead of a stick.

Looks like the injury bug is hitting the Kings and training camp hasn't even started yet, yikes.

@TSNBobMcKenzie
LAK expect Anze Kopitar sidelined for a couple of weeks and Wiilie Mitchell for at least that long and perhaps longer.

Just wait until 'training camp' starts :crutch:

There's no way all of them kept with their training. I bet the AHL shuttle to NHL cities will be busy

Given that everyone was expecting compressed schedules, I really can't complain about the Wild's itinerary.

Eight back-to-backs, but two are home stands & none of the rest involve major travel, muliple time zone changes or a late evening game followed by an afternoon/early evening game.

Looks like eight will be on major network broadcasts (but I don't get TSN, so it's only seven for me).

Christ, almost not worth paying for Game Center this year. They have a 2 day blackout whenever a game is on national or local TV, so I'd be paying full price to watch 26 games. Well, I say full price, but I don't know what the hell they are going to CHARGE for it.

Holy shit, are you real?

I didn't know we had Wild fans on the board!

holy hell, 15 games in february for the wings?

if they can manage to get out of that with only 5 major injuries, it will be a miracle

Ducks got a pretty tame schedule - I think 7 btb's with one being a home and away at LA. They also have a 6 day break from Feb 18 to 24th for some reason. Also one of the btb's is two games both at Edmonton.

I don't know if I will even be able to get it. I saw a bunch of NHL games listed on my cable guide, but now they don't say anything and I don't see anything on Insight's website saying they offer CI anymore. WTF?!?!?!

Wasn't planning on buying it, I was gonna order Gamecenter and watch it with my son's Xbox, but I want the NHL Network too and looks like I won't be getting it. God I hate Kentucky.

Ducks also have a Friday/Sunday home series with Detroit and play Phoenix and Dallas in three straight games each in addition to the Edmonton back to back. It's like mini playoff series.

looks like I miscounted. make that 7 b2b's. still OK. 48 games in 99 nights.
a tough 4 game trip in Feb, and a 5 gamer in April.
sleep doctors going to be in need for the CBJ-Min-CBJ trip.

I thought Gamecenter was streamed through NHL.com. As long as you have internet you can use it. Can't help with NHLN or Center Ice though.
