What reason would Detroit have to try and move any young core players, though? The Wings are in a prime spot to exploit the expansion draft desperation and add assets.

They could make huge steps forward in a short period of time in the next month.

I’m with you. Very surprised to hear he is being shopped. He’s coming off back surgery. Maybe Stevie Y has info that we don’t? But I was equally as surprised when they sent Mantha to the Caps.
