Some people just like to be negative instead of enjoying the beauty and grace of outdoor hockey.

Gabriel "Baby Giraffe on Skates" Carlsson was on waivers a few days ago. Tonight he went in because David Savard must have eaten bad poutine or something. He just scored his first NHL goal.

Quite a week.

Another weak defensive effort there.

Not sure if our defense is just having a run streak, or if it's simply the fact that the Leafs are a top team and able to expose us.

3-2 now and Carey needs to calm down and get back to his first period form.

I wasn't aware there was such disdain for these games.

When they were once a year, on New Year, and they were played in cold places like Edmonton, Chicago, Buffalo, etc. they were good.

But then the NHL decided that if fans like it once a year in cold weather places, they'll LOVE it a dozen times a year in places like Texas and California.

And as has already been pointed out, the hockey is notoriously poor. And this isn't the first time they've put the players at risk (which one was it that was played in a monsoon?) by insisting the game be played under clearly unsafe conditions.

WTF was Matheson doing out there on that goal? Instead of covering his side and being in Eberle’s face, he backs all the way across the D zone where PO Jospeh already he’s it covered

This one might not stand - Going to review. It counts, but I'm not sure that it should (Andersen's pad was definitely pushed back).

Now Toronto is challenging for goalie interference.

Not sure that'll be allowed. Tatar looks to hit Anderson's pad which helped the puck go loose.

Wow - I'm surprised they are letting that stand. We are lucky with that call for sure.

that's risky for the Leafs to challenge it.

Not black and white and will certainly be a judgement call.

I think it should be a no-goal, but do I risk a PP for it? Probably not.
