Dates to be released Monday
Kings will play the Rangers and Sabres

As reported here a few weeks ago, the Kings will open the 2011-12 season in Europe, a league source confirmed tonight. There will be an Oct. 7 game in Stockholm against the New York Rangers and an Oct. 8 game in Berlin against the Buffalo Sabres. There is also likely to be an exhibition game in Hamburg before these games. The NHL is set to announce its European schedule tomorrow morning.
