Looks good to me. :thumb: If I was to change anything, Dallas would be in the Pacific, Minn in the Centeral. Other than that, your divisions look spot on Puck.

My Thoughts, first off I would have contracted 6 teams. IMO 24 teams is a Model the NHL can make money and have a Strong product each and every year. The amount of fan interest would off set lose of renevue IMO...

But without contraction, your plan looks as good as most. I would go

West
San Jose
Los Angeles
Anaheim
Phoenix
Vancouver

Northwest
Colorado
Calgary
Minnesota
Winnipeg
Edmonton

Central
St. Louis
Chicago
Detroit
Columbus
Dallas

Eastern Conference
East
Philadelphia
Pittsburgh
NYRangers
NYIslanders
New Jersey

Northeast
Montreal
Toronto
Buffalo
Ottawa
boston

Southeast
Washington
Carolina
Tampa
Florida
Nashville

The east is perfect, adding Nashville for Atlanta make no real difference...

IMO you need Canadian teams in half the Divisions...

Or put Columbus in the South, Washington in the East and Pitt in the Northeast...

I like your diagram Puck.

Though I would tend to think that they might try to not realign quite so much to limit the impact.

I was tihnking move Preds to SE, Winnipeg to Central, but looks like the BJs would make a better move.

Fuck off Detroit.

This reminds me of the brainteaser "What is the fewest number of straight lines can you draw to separate the images into groups of 5?"

There's a few different trains of thought in my mind...there's the simple way of doing it, in which I think moving Columbus into the SE (Travel wouldn't be that bad at all) and Winnipeg to take their spot in the Central. That's the fewest moves available, and takes the farthest team to the east in the Eastern Conference, and keeps everyone relatively close to their divisional opponents. However, there's always the possibility that the NHL will take this opportunity to shake things up a bit (which I think most people would be in favor of, as long as certain rivalries are kept intact). I think it'd be a good idea to shift some teams around just to divide the talent accordingly as well as helping with travel. It'll be very interesting to see what direction the league goes in. Personally, I want a shake up...it'd be fun.

I thought for sure that someone would try to map it out to look like a penis and balls.

Maybe it's just me? :twitch:

When I saw people had been drawing out circles I was expecting someone to draw penis and testicles.
