That's what I thought at first, but the one on the far right is Mario, just not the Mario we're thinking of.

I guess they're doing a 20th year anniversary mode for NHL 94. Blue ice, no penalties, & 1990s video game sound effects. I think it's a novel idea, but will get boring real fast. I'll probably only play this mode if I'm too drunk to drive.
