I had an issue in an earlier draft where I traded for Larry Fitzgerald and because he was listed 3rd on the roster, people assumed he wasn't starting. So, I took a hit for people not knowing who my starting receivers were.

I'd guess if you made the trade, you'd have to wait until after the draft (add/drop) to drop Ward...

We all know you cannot drop a player during the draft. You will have to wait until after the draft. Why not just make the trade between yourselves, if there are picks involved tell the other person who you want picked and announce the trade after the draft.
