If the NFC goes through Seattle, you can pencil them into the Superbowl.I think Carolina is much better than what people think. And seeing as Atlanta, Green Bay, and Atlanta are all 1-2, Seattle has a big advantage in snagging that #1 seed. If that happens, it'll take an act of god to keep the Seahawks out of the Superbowl
Fun Fact: Both the Broncos and the Seahawks play a regular season game at the Superbowl host stadium this season
The only thing we know is Manning is a much better regular season QB then a post season QB.
That's one way of looking at things, though it seems wrong headed. Rather, what we do know is that the teams he's played on have had higher winning percentages in the regular season than in the post season. When one then considers that entire teams, not just QBs, play the games and that the level of competition in the playoffs is higher than in the regular season, the flaw in concluding that he's a "better regular season than post season QB" is pretty clear.
You're being a homer, dude. Peyton is too analytical for his own good. It gets further magnified in the playoffs. It's not that he's a choker, he just overanalyzes shit too much.
You kind of made my point. Look. Payton is an amazing QB. I would take my chances with him in any game. But there is not disputing the fact that he is a better regular season QB then post season. I'm not gonna go stat hunting because I really don't care, but I don't remember him being that impressive in their Superbowl win over the Bears. And he did throw the game ending pic in the Broncos loss to the Ravens. I realize it probably shouldn't have gotten to that point, but nonetheless it did, and he made a horrible decision. That's one way of looking at things, though it seems wrong headed. I'm pretty sure the Texans aren't gonna make it. They could easily be 0-3.

Not at all. I thought it was crazy when he still played for Indy that people would say he's not a good playoff QB, ignoring that he won SB, helped his team get to another, and is arguably the best to have ever played the position.
And then you realized he has gone 1 and done 8 times and the year the Colts won the Superbowl he had a 3/7 TD/INT ratio
Spin it how you like. I get it. Koolaid and be tasty. There is nothing I'm gonna say that will make you realize he has made some horrible decisions when the game is on the line in the playoffs. Again, I think he is great. One of the best. But there are other things aside from stats that shape ones legacy.Pretty sure you misunderstood my post, since it explains why he isn't a worse playoff QB than regular season QB. In fact, he's the same QB. He and his teams have to consistently play better teams in the playoffs, though. And he has played on teams that have won a lot of playoff games, including twice winning an AFCCG and once a SB.

Rodgers - Sacked 8 times by a Seattle Dline that was not nearly as good at rushing the passer as the current oneNot all Qbs are going to buckle under the pressure of playing in Seattle so I wouldnt get to confident that it will be a smooth ride to the Super Bowl if you get the number 1 seed. If you play Rodgers or Brees maybe Matt Ryan you will definitely have a game on your hands.
Rodgers - Sacked 8 times by a Seattle Dline that was not nearly as good at rushing the passer as the current one
Brees - Lost an opening round playoff game to a 7-9 team as the defending Super Bowl MVP
Ryan - Good luck winning your first road playoff game in the most hostile environment in the NFL. He barely won his 1st at home last year against Seattle.
Don't pretend like these guys are the saviors who will ride into the Clink and not be affected by the sheer pressure the 12th Man puts on opposing offenses. We've played great QBs. It's not like Russell Wilson is 10-0 at home against Chad Henne 10 times
Yea but dont pretend like no one can go in and defeat the Seahawks and the 12th man I mean your stadium. These are very good QBs and they have pretty good teams around them and good coaching and any of them are capable of going into Seattle and winning. Will it happen who knows thats why they play the games.
No problem. All I need from you is a link to the last time Russell Wilson's Seahawks lost at home and the argument is yours. I'll wait...
