Thanks CP. That's not great for an OL. I hope that drops him down on some boards because the dude can flat out play. I'd love it if he fell to 31.

It wouldn't be great for an OT, but for a guard or center, I think that's ideal and it wouldn't hinder him much at all. Wouldn't you want him at center anyway?

Teams request 21 DEs work out at OLB in Indy

NFL teams have requested that 21 attending DEs at the Combine also work out at OLB during their on-field sessions.

BYU's Ezekiel Ansah, Oregon's Dion Jordan, LSU's Barkevious Mingo, Texas A&M's Damontre Moore, and FSU's Bjoern Werner are among the requests. Ansah and Werner might be the only two that are not considered natural fits, since both possess large frames for the transition. Ansah has some experience as a stand up rusher, however, and his best trait is his closing speed in space.

Reid: Geno is 'a heck of a football player'

In an interview, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said he has "had a chance to look at (WVU QB Geno Smith's) tape and he's a heck of a football player."

Reid added that he's excited to interview the Mountaineer quarterback. New Chiefs GM John Dorsey said in recent weeks that he isn't sure if the talent of this year's quarterback class warrants a No. 1 overall selection. However, coaches are just getting to a lot of these prospects, which can affect final grades.

Report: Team wants to work out QB Klein at TE

Former NFL scout Bryan Broaddus has heard at least one team is hoping to workout Kansas State QB Collin Klein as a TE.

"He will do position drills in front of the combine," Broaddus tweeted. Klein will be among the quarterbacks throwing to receivers during group drills, but we do not expect him to impress. He certainly did not while attending the East-West Shrine week.

Bearcats TE Kelce won't participate in Indy

Cincinnati TE Travis Kelce will not participate in COmbine activities due to an abdominal injury.

He showed up with 6'4 7/8 inches and 255 pounds, with 33 3/4 inch arms. Kelce missed the Senior Bowl for unspecified reasons, but the two are likely connected. We think Kelce has a chance to be the first senior tight end selected, but his limited participation during the pre-draft process doesn't help his cause.

More Broaddus:
Hearing from my sources that a team is interested in working Colin Klein out as a TE. He will do position drills in front of the combine.

Hearing also that teams have requested that 21 of the DE here also workout as well at LB. Most noted Ansah Jordan Mingo Moore Werner.

- Barkley is a legit 6'2 guy and I had no doubt about that.
- Geno is the same height as Barkley, now that is somewhat of a shocking news to me.
- Hopkins is a big guy. In terms of having a tough/nice frame to him. I never thought he was more muscular than Stills.
- Austin being only 5'8 and weighing 174 pounds will certainly drop him out of the first round. If we could steal him in the 2nd round, I would be ecstatic.
- Keenan Allen only being 6'2 is a small, very small disappointment for me. But at least. I can't wait for his proday to see what he runs in the forty.
- Patterson being only 6'1 does not scare me one bit. Just like Julio, those guys play the game like they're 6'3 / 6'4.

Matt Barkley checks in at 6-foot-2 1/2, 227

USC QB Matt Barkley measured 6-foot-2 1/2 and 227 pounds at Friday's Scouting Combine weigh-in.

He's a half-inch taller than his college listing. It's a solid weigh-in for Barkley, about whom there have been some size concerns. Although NFL Films' Greg Cosell recently compared Barkley's skill set to Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez's, Barkley will have an opportunity to dispel concerns about his arm strength at USC's Pro Day in late March. Barkley is not throwing at the Combine.

Cordarrelle Patterson measures 6-foot-2, 216

Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson checked in 6-foot-1 7/8 and 216 pounds at Friday's Combine weigh-in.

Listed at 6-foot-3, 205 by the Volunteers, Patterson is an inch-and-an-eighth shorter than his college listing, but 11 pounds heavier. He's a 6-foot-2, 216-pound beast. The single most dynamic skill-position player eligible for the 2013 draft, Patterson's forty time could be a key indicator of his draft position. A JUCO transfer, he only put one season of Division-I college football on tape.

Marquise Goodwin - 5'8 7/8 and 183 lbs.

I thought Goodwin was much taller than that for some reason. Wow. It don't matter because he's going to lit up the forty. He would be a great addition to a team needing RS or a slot receiver.

Cecil Lammey:

Cobi Hamilton working out with the great travelle gaines -- had to ask Cobi about 'eating Skittles' said T helped most w/preparation

He's one of the top trainers in the country and works with a ton of athletes on improving speed, among other things. Every player will have been trained in improving their speed by the time they run at the combine, but I'm always interested to see which players run natural and which ones look like their running has been altered in order to improve their speed.
