I think Vrabel is a good coach but maybe not in the great category just yet. I also think he needs to be aligned with a team that does better with personnel decisions. I like his approach to a strong running game and a strong defense. Old school but can be effective with the right team.

A great coach? Maybe a good coach, but 2 playoff wins in 6 years - and those two four years ago - doesn’t define great to me.
I think when you look at the QB he’s had to work with it looks better. Tannehill was maybe for a few years slightly above average at the very best and outside of Henry they never really gave him great talent when they did such as AJ Brown, they traded him for whatever they could get.

Meh, just another NE disciple that didn't really work out. Sure he had some decent years with a roster he inherited, but he really is a rah rah coach and I think in this day in age you need both a leader (which he is) and an innovator in scheming (which he is not) to be successful.

"He is a great coach and teacher. I know he will get another opportunity right away. I look forward to it" - Derrick Henry

Sounds like Henry wants to follow Vrabel wherever he lands

2021 Coach Of The Year as the team was definitely on the upward trajectory, and ownership inexplicably deals AJ Brown .. That started the divide ..

Vrabel's reaction during the draft said it all

You cannot win when you are at odds with ownership ..... Yet when the Jags had everything to play for on Sunday, with the Gloden Boy top pick at QB, Vrabel and his rookie QB pull the upset ..

He got the team to the postseason with Marcis Mariota, and won with Mariota ... I'm not sure those words will ever be said again

A good read, for those inclined :

Vrabel's winning percentage sits right below Dennis Green and right above Jim Mora. Great company.

If it gets down to the Ravens and the 9ers - I'll have to go Shanahan ties.

My take:
“He got the team to the postseason with Derrick Henry at his peak, and won with Derrick Henry.”

Regular season wins happen with passing arms, historically postseason wins are won with a strong running game.

I hope the Dolphins put a 56-0 beat down on the Chiefs.

Think the Eagles after losing 5 out of their last 6 to end the season, aye? Never know.

I would really like to see the Ravens or Bills or Lions but would be fine with anyone but Kansas City.

Have always liked the Ravens since Ed Reed era but would also like to see the Bills finally win one after losing 4 straight. I feel like nearly everyone can agree it would be nice to see the Lions win one.

Texans would be fine too but might be a little scary to see a rookie QB in the AFC win a Super Bowl his rookie year. ;) I would be good with it though.

Who I am/was rooting for

Browns vs Texans (Didn't really care) I like both teams fine.
Chiefs vs Dolphins (duh, Dolphins)
Bills vs Steelers (Bills)
Packers vs Cowboys (Don't really care but I will go for the Packers because I have been in contact with a few players on their team) I do like Dak and Lamb a lot though. Always been a huge fan of both since they were in college.
Rams vs Lions (Lions)
Buccaneers vs Eagles (Buccaneers)

The best Super Bowl pair for me would be the Texans and Lions.

I'm sick of the Chiefs, Rams, 49ers, Cowboys and Eagles being drooled over by the media.

I sick of Patrick Mahomes doing his sideline bitchin' and cryin'.

Having two completely overlooked teams would be so refreshing and enjoyable......

Sadly, I know that it will be the 49ers and Chiefs.
