I can’t believe Pitts is only 24. That is crazy. It seems like he has been a fantasy disappointment for 5 years. I wouldn’t give up any of our young talent for Pitts. Payne I would consider.

Well, then there's this idea!

Trade Pitch Brings Commanders' Former First Round Pick Pitts

3 hours ago · Pitts has one season left on his 4-year, $32.9 million rookie contract after the Falcons picked up his fifth-year option at $10.8 million for 2025 — the Commanders have …

I am not entirely against it but we would have to work out an extension beforehand. Pitts would likely want more than I want to pay for an extension from him. Pitts is not Kittle or Kelce but would want to be paid as if he were.

I agree with this point of view; however, with so many high draft picks, where they are drafted often determines the impact they have on the game. Atlanta was no great landing place for this guy, and it shows. I'll bet that coming here with Daniels and Kingsbury rejuvenates his career, and he gets a lot closer to the hype surrounding him when he entered the NFL.

My problem with Pitts is the drops at key times. I must admit, I just looked up the actual percentages and Pitts was not nearly as bad as I thought. He has been very inconsistent but some of that has to be attributed to QB play. If we can get an extension, I would love it.

Yep! It sometimes amazes me that there of lots of people who would rather look at the player instead of the forces and circumstances under which they play. Take Chicago, for example, where they haven't developed a QB in decades, yet each one that ventured into that place has been deemed a "bust."

Btw: there are also stories linking Pitts to Dallas, the N.Y. Giants, and a couple of others.

After his rookie season, Pitts’ career has been a disappointment. The drops have been well publicized but to the point where they may be overblown.

I think a third is reasonable compensation.

As for an extension, I would like 3 years at 36 million, but would accept 3 years at 45 million. I fear he would want 3 years at 60 million.

Preferably, Sinnott just turns the corner and there is no gamble.

At 35 do we seriously expect him to go through another season nearly injury free?
