Saying no one is tagging him twice doesn’t equate to that
How so? The last line in that long-ago post indicates that it can be done and you suggested they could do it back then. How is it that with concerns to Higgins "nobody's going to tag him twice?"

Changing the subject I write... No nicknames this year for any of the new additions? I believe "stick figure" was your last one.

If the Cincinnati Bengals decide to place a second franchise tag on Tee Higgins for the 2025 season, it would cost them approximately $26.2M. The current tag is around $21.8M.

"Cheap-ass Bengals," you got me, so no comment!

The Bengals will make the playoffs but I found it interesting that some believe Higgins to FA is a foregone conclusion.

I made that point in a previous post, even though the counter " cheap assed Bengals" was valid. Point is they and/or any trade partner can franchise tag him again in 2025 for $26.2M.

Possible adjustment to the ‘bow and arrow’ celebration penalty. We will have to see but that’d be great, the stupidest penalty ever as most agree.

Yep, I am going to crow a little bit. I ate my crow regarding Dotson so now my turn do some crowing.

Before tonight's game I think it was ESPN had an article saying what's wrong with the Falcons. What's wrong with Pitts? It's partially Cousins fault. For so long I listened to people say Cousins can't do this and he can't do that. First game they put him in the pistol ..... Cousins game is the play action pass. You put him under center or in the shotgun. He had a bad game.

As Cali pointed out just above the Falcons came back at the end of the 4th quarter for the third straight game and won in OT tonight. To say it was all Cousins would be unfair. ATL gave up only 6 points in the 2nd half, after giving up 24 in the 1st half. London, Mooney, Pitts and Hodge came up big when needed. I stand by what I have always said, it is a team game.

A lot of people were on Cousins ass in the early years .... he can't win on Monday night or prime time. Here is my answer. It's the sixth time he has thrown for 350 yards and three touchdowns in a prime-time game, tying Patrick Mahomes and Peyton Manning, according to ESPN Research. BTW he is the 5th fastest QB in NFL history to 40,000 yards.

I got it out of my system. My big wish for myself and everyone here is that Jayden will do the same over his career. If he can stay away from injuries I think he has a good shot.

PS: Michaels and whoever the color analyst was sucked!!

Cousins has definitely grown as a player. He was having an MVP year in Minnesota before he got hurt.

Needing one win to get in vs the Panthers and the Giants at home did stick with me for a while, especially the Giants INT. That was a long time ago.

We all have "our guys." Cousins definitely has his backers and detractors. His numbers will be insane when he hangs his cleats up for good. He wasted a good chunk of his career playing for the worst owner in sports.

I don't root for him. There really isn't a player I root for that's not on the Skins. I do like watching Mahomes play. I used to root against Kirk, now I'm kind of indifferent. He's been gone for so long.

My feelings are still the same. Very good QB. Not sure he will win you a SB, but you can win one with him. Swap Purdy for Cousins and the 49ers are scary sacry.

You made a great point in that he has grown. I don't think he is the greatest but he is pretty damn good. So I am not advocating others root for him. You and most Washington fans were mad when he threw an interception against NY and held it against. Will you be mad at Daniels if that happens to him? JMO but I hope (and believe you won't)

Cousins got treated like shit here. He was the best QB here since Sonny. I am not upset he left. Who would blame him not wanting to stay in the mess that is Washington. What Kirk has done as you mentioned is he has always kept fighting. Whether it was fans here or Minnesota or even in the press. There were guys here that told me he gone as far as he could by his 2nd or 3rd year. Hell the color analyst kept saying he can't push off his back foot and it is causing him to struggle. KC showed him how to struggle last night.

I felt when he was drafted he was the better QB. Many here wanted Griffin to be that guy and I think that was held against him. By fans, the owner and good old George who intentionally pronounced his name wrong. Like it or not dad and I said we were going to remind the ABCers what they missed on. Now I am happy about Daniels and hope he is all that Cousins has been and even more.

Anyhow I root for anyone that went to Penn State. I did root for some of our kids that made it to the NFL. Hell I was rooting for Chris Godwin last night. Mayfield too, another guy I was told couldn't make it and that Murray was better. I just didn't want Tampa to win. LOL

I'll be upset when any Skins QB throws an INT. I held on to Kirk's the way I did because it felt cumulative and predictable at the time.

I'd still take Theismann over Kirk even though Kirk's numbers dwarf Theismann's. The team rallied behind Joe.

He got everyone together during the strike and does have a a ring, an MVP, and two trips to the Superbowl under his belt. I may be biased because he was the QB of the team when I fell in love with the Skins.

I was definitely an RG3 guy, but I rooted for Cousins as well. I remember my friends down here in Texas asking me when RG3 was going to be back. I smiled and said "Kirk is ballin!"

I'm not sure what an ABCer. I've always wanted to know what that stood for.lol

I try to stay away from the Kirk debate because it usually ends up with people taking shots at each other and name calling.

ABCer was a term dad made up. It means Anyone But Cousins .... sounds like you were not one.

I am not going to take any shots at anyone. Both dad and I said after Cousins left "let us know when you find his replacement." I think after 6 years that may well have happened. Trying to stay medium for now but rooting like hell for the kid.

BTW I liked Joe too. Larry Brown was my first jersey and Joe was my 2nd. That was back in the day when personalized jerseys were hard to find. We already had the discussion about fans not liking Joe which I never understood because he played well for the Skins. He did talk a lot but I was concerned with what how he performed on the field.

Anyone but Cousins...okay lol. Yeah, Joe was my guy. I think we got us one though. Jayden has been electric so far.

I like and respect Capt Kirk, think he got screwed with Danny Boy at the helm but I've moved on personally.

Think most Skins fans have tbh, but Im truly happy for his success

Yeah, like I said I don't expect Washington fans to root for him. He got screwed by Dan and Bruce. (I think I said George earlier) I know I felt like he got treated badly and I thought from the beginning he was a good QB. Like I also said I was not upset that he left the disaster that was here.

I would have loved to see him play for Kyle in SF.
