As of right now I think this is the NFL MVP rankings

1.) Matt Ryan: Has a cake walk schedule with three pathetic pass defense so should win the MVP unless he chokes.
2.) Bady: Missing three games might be his only flaw.
3.) EE: Has some tough games ahead and teams might just sell out on the run more than ever now.
4.) Rodgers: Still has a sub zero game vs Chi and the Vikes which he still needs to prove he can beat.
5.) Cousins: facing 2 weak defenses and a good G-men defense
6.) Staffaud: Face a good defense an average defense and an inconsistent Packer defense that's either the worst in the NFL or top 5.
7.) Carr: 2 bad D's and the Broncos

Based off the schedules and how players are trending I'd say the final voting will be

1.) Ryan
2.) Brady
3.) Rodgers
4.) Cousins
5.) Carr

Looks about right.
Brady missed 4 games, but his numbers look like 3
:)

Thanks, not if their was an MVP that missed that many games before. To be an MVP the #1 rule is you must play the game. I think he would be the front runner if not forced to sit those games.

You never know. There are tough games coming up down the stretch, for several teams, that could change things a bit.

I feel like even if EE has 3 straight 200 yard games he still won't win the award. After watching AD have the best season I've seen by a RB and be beaten by a 50 year old QB that just led me to believe it might be a while before we have another non QB MVP.

I am guessing you had to drop Wilson out after the 5 picks yesterday?

You know, to the # 1 rule for MVP

No real link needed for that as it just makes sense. obviously it varies based on how many games the player misses or how well the player plays but more often than not in an MVP race a player that misses four games won't win the race unless he's just goes off and has the best numbers of all time for a 12 game span or the field is complete trash.

Yes, I dropped him out permanently after that. The damage has been done and there is no coming back from that to win an MVP award.

Stafford has to be top 10 atleast. Carr should be ahead of Rodgers.

If Brady throws another 12 TDs and 0 INTs he'd have to be in the running. He just put up 400 yards on the # 1 D without Gronk or Amendola. The 4 games aren't relevant.

At least he got is $20 mil. Sometimes I guess it is hard to play with as much drive once you get the big money.

I believe the Hawks had the #1 defense before this week started then Rodgers slaughtered them and the Ravens pass defense isn't #1 they're like 10th in QB rating. To say the 4 games are not relevant is asinine. It puts him at a significant disadvantage especially since the Pats went like 3-1 with a second and third string QB during that time period.

That or when you have more fun things to go back home to drive. :nutswing:

Hawks are missing Earl Thomas. They put up a stinker vs the Bucs without Thomas as well. Weakened defense without him, clearly.

Pats went 3-1 without him with a shut-out loss to the Bills, but 8-1 with him (and counting) with a 1 possession loss to the division leading Seahawks. Brady is the MVP. He's ahead of Ryan now IMO, and just wait, the Falcons will screw this season up, it's coming.

Seattle had the lowest scoring D. Ratbirds were #1 against the run and whatever against the pass. Basically they were the number 1 over all D.
We can agree to disagree about the 4 games.

Actually Packers just beat them in man to man coverage and rarely did they even go towards or try to exploit the new safety. Legs has posted an entire article on it. ET is the 3rd best player out of the Seattle DB's. Packers were missing their best DB in the Hawks game but they failed to exploit it.

TB scored 14 points on Seattle if anything that makes the W for GB look even better.

No way Brady is the MVP right now. Does he have a chance yes but at this time with missing four games in which his team basically didn't miss a beat without him until they were down to an injured 3rd stringer and almost a WR at QB. Falcons schedule is way too easy for them to screw up. None of the teams they're facing have anything to play for and they are all bottom feeder passing defenses. I'd say there's a 90% chance Ryan wins MVP.
