Ok so I'm watching the Pats game here, blow out poor Timmy... and it got me thinking.
Pats are an offensive heavy team, they pay alot to their QB, O-line, I would think they pay more money on their offense than defense.
Saints, and Packers the same thing.
Giants are more balanced, they are invested in their O-line and linebackers.
49ers I think spend more on their defense, our highest paid players on offense are Gore and Vernon.
So in the modern NFL, is there a "moneyball" type equation of what you should pay for certain positions? QB is high, O-line, D-line, a stud pass catcher and a stud CB. RBs can be cheaper they are more replaceable, most MLBs are not high paid.
What's the best "moneyball" eqn for the modern NFL?
If we win the Superbowl we'd be bucking the recent trend.
