I hope he's the answer in the slot and not Fuller's replacement.
I still think Jourdan Lewis comes in but who knows.

Agreed on the slot observation.

Whitt knows secondary players.

If Kearse and Lewis don't sign, to me, it means that whitt and Quinn didn't want them.

Sure, it could be a money thing, just my opinion.

We do need at least 2 corners I feel.

1 more safety as well.

Need two corners. Might be done at safety but you could be right.

Chinn
Forrest
Martin
Butler
Reaves

PFF has a new option where you can use the public big board instead of thiers. Most of the time Nubin is there and all the tackles are gone.

We need:
Two offensive tackles
Two wide receivers
Two corners
Linebacker depth
Maybe safety (I'm not a Percy Butler fan)

I agree with everything except we need a TE.
Not sure ertz and turner are the full answer.

I forgot about TE. I had kinda conceded that they were content with Ertz, Rogers, Bates, and Turner.

The needs at corner and tackle are too big at the moment to burn a 2nd on JaTavion.

Rick Snider speculated today that the Skins might package 36 and 40 to make sure they secure the left side.

we both talked about moving up for a LT. Did Rick Snider say they were going to still do it if no FA OT was signed before the draft?

Not going to lie, that would make me upset.

We need all the help we can get. Those are 2 picks that can get you starters. I honestly think the 36th and 40th picks could start out or the gate. We are that bad.

It'd a deep OT draft. If we can get the next Trent williams, sure..lets do it.

But if its to get the 4th ranked OT?

I understand why people feel that way bit I couldn't disagree more with it.

Sorry if i sound preachy here.

You and I view draft picks very differently.

He didn't go in depth, just made it seem like a possibility. I'll try to find it. I packaged 36 and 40 and was able to grab Bowers a couple of times.

thats fine. I just disagree with you for throwing out the #36 pick at LT week 1 with a rookie QB this year. i told you what i would do. Sign Smith short term deal. Trade up for an OT. Make the OT start at RT this year. Still can get a WR and CB in the 3rd round. Plus, FA isnt over yet. ALot of holes are filled, not all as you mentioned.

Really? at what pick? Did you get up to the early 20's or late teens?

Was was able to to get Bowers at 17 I think. Chargers and Bengals are the real TE needy teams. Chargers took Nabers and I was able to get one spot in front of the Bengals.

Long shot but fun nonetheless. Took Bowers and didn't look back.

trading 36 and 40 to get #17 seems like stretch but hey its fun to think about. I dont think Bowers is going top 10. Just my opinion.

36 and 40 definitely gets you into the 20s. I'd love to stay and pick a LT and corner, but Fashanu hurt his quad at the combine and has kinda tumbled on some boards.

If someone like him can be had in the late teens or early 20s, you'd have to consider it. A month ago we were debating Fashanu and QB with the first pick on this board.

I agree. Its going to be interesting if Fashnu drops.

You have said it a million times. We all know.

So what is the difference between throwing the 36th pick on Day 1 and a mid 20's pick? There is that BIG of a gap between the 5th OT and 7th?

You burn through draft picks and don't value them. Its your calling card. You get something in your head and won't let it go.

You called me out for being ticked at the Wentz trade because we gave up a 3rd rounder. You said you didn't care...I did. What happened?

my bad. Im throwing the rookie at RT, you want to throw the rookie at LT. Big Difference. . Duke do you think we are going to hit on every draft pick? That would be great!

I don't think we do.

No, I agree.

I trust Peters/Newmark more than any other GM...including Rivera, over the past 25 years.

It is about quantity...not quality right now. Giving up the 36th and 40th pick to me doesn't make sense and I don't believe Peters won't do it. The 36th and 40th picks could and probably would start. This is a good draft and the 36th and 40th are gold for a team as bad as we are. You have it in your head that only a 1st round LT could start. You are wrong.

We are are worst than you think Dean. You always think we are better than we are. You do it every year.

Your golden GM Rivera destroyed this team..just like I said. Grabbing the 5th rated OT over the 7th doesn't make sense...UNLESS...Peters/Newmark know something we don't.
