Who will be the starting CB opposite Maxwell? J Taylor has played 3 years for the Fins and has 4 pass defenses 0 interceptions. Tyler Patmon & B McCain also haven't shown enough in their careers to have confidence that either will be a solid starter. I'm rooting for all the Fin's CBs to do well but I think the Fins need to pick a CB with the first pick. Waiting until the 2nd round to pick a CB is a big risk when the team needs a starter right away. Trading up early is usually costly and the Fins have other needs to fill with their other picks. I'd stay at 13 and pick best CB available. I am looking forward to the draft. If the Fins make the right picks they could really improve the roster. Here is the Fins draft order:

Round One - Pick No. 13 (trade down with Eagles from pick No. 8 that produced CB Byron Maxwellicon-article-link.gif and linebacker Kiko Alonsoicon-article-link.gif)

Round Two - Pick No. 11 in the round (42nd overall)

Round Three - Pick No. 10 (73rd overall)

Round Four - Pick No. 9 (107th overall)

Round Five - Pick No. 8 (147th overall)

Round Six - Pick No. 11 (186th overall)

Round Seven - Pick No. 6 (227th overall) from the Ravens for Davis, and Pick No. 10 (231st overall)

I almost forgot to mention CB Tony Lippett as a possible starter. He got first team reps in voluntary practice. He has a lot of potential. He needs lots of reps to have a chance to develop.

If Stanley is still there at 13, they need to get him. I think they can get a starting CB in second round or even third.

Elliott will be a star in my opinion. He would definitely help the offense. He has breakaway speed & power plus he can help in the passing game. I wouldn't be disappointed if Elliott is picked at 13. That said, Jay Ajayi is capable of carrying some of the load now & there is good depth at RB in this draft. The Fins could still get a solid starter in the 2nd round at RB.

At CB I think there is less depth and more demand at that position. Elliott may not be there at 13. I don't like the idea of trading up for him with the other needs that the team has.

If Elliott is picked it could work if CB Lippett takes a big step up. He's got the athleticism & could become a ball hawk. He just needs more experience. He played more WR than CB in college. RE the draft: Starting CB's can be picked later than the first round but it seems risky for the Fins with their need at the position.

I'd go CB unless a stud falls to them at another position of need. CB is also a premium position cap wise..

I would be ok with CB, but not sure Hargreaves is the one. He has a slow 40 and that is not good for corner, plus his height worries me. If he was fast and small, ok. But not very fast and small equals average at best. I think Jackson would be better pick if they do in first. I also don't see alot of teams after CB's, so there should be good pickings in second. Lets sit back and see what happens but I'm concerned about Hargreaves

I would be ok with the 2-3 ranked CB's and agree with you on Hargreaves somewhat although he'll probably be fine. I'd even be ok with moving back again if they feel that they could still get one. Another pick would be great!

Tunsil dropping like a rock, do fins take him if he is there?

I think the Bears just traded up to get him?

If Jack falls to 13, they should definitely take him. Nothing against Hargreaves but I think that getting Jack would definitely be more beneficial.

Agreed I took Apple in the mock and he's gone. Jack shouldn't be there Fins could take chance. Tunsil who knows! Maybe trade back should be takers...

How about Shaq Lawson if the Saints pick Jack?

Possible or trade back get a CB later. Tunsil chance it???

Hmmm...I could see Gase taking him since Tannehill needs protection but with what happened earlier, I don't chance it.

Yeah Jack may be safer especially with CB's gone. Trade back may be wise...

bet the take Tunsil and he flames out in a 2 years. Think they should take Miles or Shaq and then get CB in second.

Decker, long shot. I would take him over Tunsil

I know that Jack was injured a lot this past season but I agree, I think he's the safe pick right now.
