MANZIEL – 5’11 and ¾, 207 with 9 7/8 hands.
BRIDGEWATER – 6’2 1/8, 214 with 9 ¼ hands.
BORTLES – 6’5, 232 with 9 3/8 hands.

Here is the takeaway I am hearing from these results so far:

Mazniel -Short but not too short. Big hands.
Bridgewater -Bigger/heavier than previously thought. Small hands is negative.
Bortles -Tall & big with smaller hands than ideal for a QB.

are you comparing hand size to cock size to prove how manly they are?

Manziel will not throw in the combine, just run. Now the experts say its not important to watch a quarterback throw in the combine.

Wait Manziel will not throw? Is this factual?

Yeah it is...most of the top quarterbacks don't throw at the combine. They usually never come out looking good when they throw with a bunch of guys they have never played with. So most just decide to wait for their pro day. Almost every GM is completely fine with it. Usually they only want to see the later round guys throw as they won't spend as much time watching film on them as the first guys.

I don't know Johnny Boy's weight is scary. He takes a good shot from a DE he could be squashed for a while...

I will say though for his height his weight is just about right. My guess is with his frame he should be able to add at least another 10 lbs if need be to handle the NFL hits that he will take. Heck Drew Brees is about the exact same measurements of height and weight and he has done fine. Manziel the big thing will be just learning when to use his legs in the NFL and especially when to get down and not fight for those extra yards. He will need to learn that it is ok to throw the ball away or at least take an easier sack where he just braces for impact or begins to go down to lessen the blow.

Yeah that makes sense. But IMO his throws are very very suspect especially under duress seems like an opportunity to show he can make the throw in adverse situations

So far these people are winning the combine:

Brandin Cooks (1 inch shorter, 3 pounds less & bigger hands than Marqise Lee).

Jonny Manziel (almost 6'0 & huge hands; it's Russell Wilson all over again; I may have to change my mind about him).

Sammy Watkins - 6'06 211 is a great size for him.

Odell Beckham with huge hands for a guy his size (10'') Decent size too at 5'11 198.

And Jordan Matthews has some monster hands at 10' 3/8. 6'3 212 too. Yikes! If Matthews has good speed numbers he'll be a first rounder for sure.

Are they gonna measure arm length today?
