In real time, maybe looked incomplete, but upon review?? Jeez man, what gives?
They said since there was no recovery of the fumble, the play had to stand.

The ball sat there on the field for 5 seconds before the ref picked it up/ When has the ref blowing the whistle stopped players in a situation like that? They play for the replay, not the whistle these days.Makes sense in a messed up way. They blew it dead and official picked up ball so you can't really blame the players for not picking up the ball
That’s how it should work but that’s not how it worksOnce the whistle blows and the ref signals incompletion, the play is over.
Otherwise every play would be chaos.
Woulda coulda shouldaNot a good sign to have played better that half and be trailing. INT's and easy INT drops killed us that half. And dumb penalities. We should probably be up 6-0 intead of trailing 6-3.
Something like that, lol, refs never cease to amaze.So... If Philly had recovered the incomplete pass it would have been Philly's ball but since it was a catch and 3 steps and a fumble with no recovery it was ruled incomplete pass cause Philly didn't recover the incomplete pass...

Good games coming up in AFC next weekend. If Pats win and Chiefs lose, the NFL world will go mad.Even though they aren't the same immortal Pats.....I'd be stunned if the Chargers won that game in Foxboro.
You are 100% wrong. If there is a clear recovery that team gets the ball. It happens nearly every gmdoesn't matter if players go after dead balls. once the whistle blows, that's it. dudes aren't watching the replay going "oh, well he WOULD have recovered if we didn't blow it." it's done.
the ref choked big time by not allowing it to play out. it was under 2 minutes and would have obviously been reviewed.
