We should run the table and finish 14-2. The only game even close to a loss should be the Steelers game, but I think after how the Ravens dominated us the Steelers game will be different. We will have a long week to prepare and it's at home. We will also come to play with a chip on our shoulder because of the bad taste the Ravens left us.

The problem for our division foe's is we are so good against the run and none of them have QB's that can beat us. We can only lose to them if we beat ourselves and so far the coaches have done a good job of making sure that does not happen.

One more win and we're division champs... wow! who would've thunk it???

That Steelers game is my top concern/interest.... As a fan, that loss left such a bitter taste in my mouth... Don't mind losing, but hate being embarrassed or shown as a fool in defeat when that shouldn't been the case....

If the effing chiefs(who blitzed Fangio!) can nearly upset the steelers, we can win the game.

Actually the 49ers could clinch the division on Thursday with a Seattle loss at Philadelphia. I'm gong with you on the 12 and 4 record simply because the 49ers will have clinched so early that I think they will relax and lose to Seattle. The Steeler game is a no-brainer. Rothlisberger and that defense of theirs will eat us for lunch.

Maiocco clarified on twitter that we still need to win this weekend in order to clinch. Seattle losing on Thursday won't do it.

The other clincher is if the Seahawks and Cards both lose.

That's what I thought with Seattle beating the Ravens and heck, I still feel that way on a regular week's rest/preparation.

The bitch of it is that the Steelers play Thursday the week before, so they've got an extra-long week. Schedule makers really kicked us in the crotch in terms of the two best teams in the AFC North.

That game will hinge very heavily on our pass rush, IMO. If it's as poor as it was against Baltimore, we're in trouble. But Pitt's OL isn't great. If we can get to Roethlisberger, we can certainly hang with them. Gotta get the run game going, though. And not just for the sake of my fantasy team.

That is exactly why I think we are in big trouble. Our feeble pass rush and Rothlisberger's abaility to avoid sacks and find his third, fourth and fifth receivers seems like a recipe for a blowout. I don't see our offense moving the ball against their D at all either. We'll see I guess. That's why they play the game. The one redeeming thing is they get to play at home.

Yeah, one of the writers mentioned it (Sando, maybe?). I hadn't realized until a couple days ago. Pretty ridiculous to get Baltimore in Baltimore on a short week and then for Pittsburgh to have a long week before playing us in SF.

IMO we lose two more games and i'm not saying one of them is Pittsburgh. no doubt we look good on paper and easy to think we lose one. but as in most seasons, chit happens.

if we do clinch this weekend, it'll interesting to see how Harbaugh handles the key players? its that eternal decision between keeping 'game sharp' vs risk of injury.

Who knew that it would matter? Bad schedule only matters if we're good. If we suck, it doesn't matter. If Indianapolis, without Manning, played the hardest schedule (opponent/travel/rest days between games) no one would say anything.

Maybe they wanted Luck to be reunited with Harbaugh without Harbaugh losing face? "Hey, look at the schedule and QB!" Just kidding, I usually don't and do not this time bring any sincerity in my conspiracy theories.

Packers, Niners can clinch playoff spots this weekend | ProFootballTalk

With five weeks to go in the 2011 regular season, two teams can clinch postseason berths this weekend.

And if you need more than two guesses, you haven’t been paying attention.

The 11-0 Packers will win the NFC North with a victory over the Giants and a loss or tie by the Lions, who face the Saints. The Packers also win the division with a Detroit loss and a Bears loss to the Chiefs.

Finally, the Packers can wrap up the division with a tie and a Bears loss or tie and a Lions loss.

At a minimum, a victory by Green Bay clinches a wild-card berth. Green Bay also wraps up a playoff appearance with a tie and a Bears loss or tie, or with losses from the Bears, Falcons, or Lions, or if both the Saints and Falcons play to a tie.

It’s far simpler for the 49ers. They win the NFC West with a win or a tie. The 49ers also win the division with a loss or tie by the Seahawks and a loss or tie by the Cardinals.

Well, its a guarantee that the Cards will lose to the Packers but I'm not so sure those wacky Eagles will beat the Seahawks.
