I think he has the potential to be a superstar. A true TE type like Witten. Goedert is now being used primarily as a blocker because the OLine and run game weren’t rolling the first 3 weeks. They are asking him to do a different job because of the OLine struggles. In addition we have a fantastic receiving TE already who isn’t much of a blocker. If Ertz goes down you will see Goedert used more in the passing game. Remember that 75 yard TD he had versus Dallas last year. There aren’t many if any TEs these days who are top ranked blockers and can run and catch like that.

But I’m dumbfounded trying to think of how the Eagles asking him to block more this year has anything to do with moving the goalposts. I’m literally shaking my head like, huhh... what? On top of that he hasn’t played many snaps this year because he’s dealing with an injury since the preseason.

If Dallas loses is ok to whine about these injuries as being the cause (ie “you try winning when 2 out of 5 starting lineman are out!”) or is that a “philly thing”?

I expect at least one of the two plays and maybe both. Neither of them really put in a full practice for the last half of the entire 2017 season because of their respective back issues. So I suspect if either has a limited practice tomorrow they will play

Philly reached and drafted a position they already had, Dallas wasn't going to. Dallas has OL depth, and Eagles don't. Nor do you have LB depth. or DL depth. Or QB depth.
