They did not have their defenses give up 30+ either. Mahome and Jackson looked sub par. Purdy played against a shitty Lions defense that is still at least 3 players away from being decent.

I was rooting for Lions last night. Glad to Jared is better but he’s still the same QB.

8 playoff games the guy is still averaging less than 1 TD per game.

Like others, I put the Lions loss on a combo of things.
--Campbell going for it on 4th down both times--but I get it. That's the horse that got them there.
--1 bad bounce--that ball that bounced off the Lions defender and into Aiyuk's hands.
--1 bad turnover--that fumble by Gibbs was the result of a mixup between him and Goff, Gibbs never really secured the ball
--bad tackling--that Lions defense gave up a lot of yards after contact

If just a couple of those things happen, the Lions could still win. This was the second game in a row against a playoff team that when the chips were down, Purdy came up huge to keep his team in the game. It was still a thin margin of victory for the Niners.

Weve have enough of a sample size to see. This is who he is. Question is, is that anything outside a shanny system? Shanny makes jimmy g look like a pro bowler. But it matters not. Thats where he is now

Jimmy never even sniffed a pro bowl under Shanny. Not even in his best year. OTOH, Purdy was a finalist for MVP. They are nowhere close to the same player.
