i think he said he plans on finishing his career at union.. that was early this year though so who knows what he's thinking now.

but i agree 100%, he's potentially, the dynamic offensive defensemen the flyers haven't had in a long time

At the end of the day, I think he will have outgrown college hockey by next season and he's going to do what's best for his career, so he should go pro at that time. I expect that he will make the jump. He can always go back later and get his degree.

For what it's worth

Union junior Shayne Gostisbehere has been named a finalist for the ECAC Hockey's Best Defensive Defenseman, it was announced late Wednesday night.

"Union's Gostisbehere named ECACH Best Defensive Defenseman finalist" by Parting Schotts

It'll be pretty exciting if he jumps to the pros next season, but Im worried about how he'll be handled. Hopefully Murray doesn't try to change what kind of player he is on the Phantoms, and hopefully Berube doesn't give him the Gus treatment
