Sorry... its not. I know he's struggled the last 2 days, but Munoz is easily our best reliever, and if he'd been available to face Yordan Game 1 of the playoffs last year, we would have been in the ALCS

That is the part that hurts. If they lost 5-3 or 7-2 to a good pitcher then okay. But shutout by Irvin? 5+ ERA and righties batting .281 against him? I didn't see any pitch that was sharp or deceptive. Just BP. Maybe we were all teary eyed from the Felix speech.

Some of those pitches were floating mid-high over the plate that usually get crushed they K'd on and again 0-9 with RISP just can't happen.

I must be watching a different Munoz all season.

His numbers and the eye test would say you have been. Even with back to back bad games (that kill reliever numbers), his are still good, and they were elite last year

Hmm, wouldn't have bet on that, but I still think he's our best reliever and he should have been our closer over Sewald. Would certainly rather have the O's giant, but we don't have that luxury

His BA against gets better in higher leverage. That is why I will take him over Munoz late in games.

Ok that dude is a stud. I just Munoz is a throw and not a pitcher...yet. He throws the exact same speeds both on fastball and slider as their guy but their guy is almost untouchable and Munoz gets touched more than a guy throwing 102 should.
