Where are you getting the leverage info (what site)?Topa 2023

His BA against gets better in higher leverage. That is why I will take him over Munoz late in games.
People kept saying this should be an easier month, but I didn't see it. The O's were one team, but now they go on the road for 4 at KC, but then 3 at Houston. Even with 3 then on the road at the White Sox, I don't expect them to come home from that road trip better than 6-4. I just don't. I'm not entirely sold they don't go 5-5.Any who....this was a shit weekend of baseball. Now back to shitty teams I think.
Baseball reference is the best spot for this stuff. I didn't even look at this before my initial comment. I go by what I see. Munoz he so hittable. And by that I mean contact when you need a punch out. He has a great arm and I see why you like him, I just want him to be more like their guy who throws the same stuff. Just something missing with Munoz that I can't put my finger on other than his location is not good enough for high leverage situations right now. Not trying to argue with you and if it came up that way I apologize. Munoz has much better stuff than Tops, but Topa gets better results this year.Where are you getting the leverage info (what site)?
I have a hard time believing (with my anecdotal observational info) that Topa has been pitching in even 1/5 as many of what I would consider high leverage situations this year as Munoz.
Ya I think you are right. It will be tough to come home .500. They really blew this one. Had a shot at a sweep against a team they are behind. You got take advantage of those opportunities.People kept saying this should be an easier month, but I didn't see it. I really think they had to have 2 of 3 out of this series. To lose it this way is a complete killer to me.
Where on B-R do you pull it up? I was trying to look because I expected to see Topa with almost no opportunity in leverage situations.Baseball reference is the best spot for this stuff. Above the stats you will see 'splits'. you can click that and pick a year or career. Then the leverage thing comes up towards the bottom. I love using splits.Where on B-R do you pull it up? I was trying to look because I expected to see Topa with almost no opportunity in leverage situations.
and why didn't you go out and get another guy? Well money of course, but a lockdown guy from a team out of it would have been huge.I like Munoz's pitch selection, but he's nowhere near Sewald's mental readiness for very high leverage pitching. At least not yet. And it's just entirely obvious.
Getting rid of Sewald was the white flag on this season. You said you weren't looking to get anywhere in the playoffs when you took the best guy you had on the back end for pressure pitching. And it pissed the whole team right off.
