They aren't typical homers though. I mean they take it to another level. The final time the Isles played the Penguins last year Haley delivered a nice hip check & Steigerwald thought he should have been thrown out of the game.

The Penguins should have Mike Lange do TV & Radio.

The whole Hobey Baker incident is exactly why i can't stand that fucker. Not what he said per se but he never announces the game. He is too busy telling stories, trying to be funny and not fucking telling the viewer what the hell is going on. Him and Errey act like they aren't on TV, they seem to think they are just hanging out at one of their houses watching the game.

I don't give a fuck who Mario's linemate was on March 22nd 1987, i want to know who took the penalty that was just called and you didn't even realize happened.

The annoying thing is that it's not Steiggy's JOB to tell stories. It's the color guy's job to tell stories. Steiggy is just horrible. HORRIBLE. No other words can describe him. Errey is a servicable color man. His job is to be a slight homer, he knows what's happening (constantly correcting Steiggy), etc. What annoys me is that the reason they're doing things now is because they took a freaking hall of fame announcer off of TV. That's ridiculous. He's great at his job, is BELOVED by the city, and they demoted him. It's almost as bad as when the Pirates fired Bob Prince back in the day.

It was a FOX decision to save money, nothing more. Lange will never be back, I'm afraid. Even with the new ownership.
