Smith threw a great block in, I believe, the Seattle game on some sort of misdirection running play.

Well, Alex did block for Gore on one play during the preseason... I can't recall clearly who it was against but I believe it was the Raiders

Oh, the block against Ellis - if that is the one, that was pretty impressive! Now that I think of it, Smith does a damn good job of getting out in front of sweeps...

Agreed! We will discover something about our team on Sunday.

yep!

Philly is a better team than the last three, not to mention remaining on the East coast? so i'll keep my overall expectations reasonable.

I believe it was Seattle, wasnt it on the counter or misdirection?

The thing I remember the most about it, was the announcer’s excitement when he saw Smith leading the brigade - if I had to wager a guess, I would say it was a misdirection.

In some ways, to me, this has a similar feel to when we went into Minnesota in '09. We were 2-0 and confident, but still not quite sure of our identity.

i get the gist but this feels a little worse?

its worse because we have zero run game and piss poor protection. while i still believe this line will get better, it won't take two steps up in this game. anyways, we just might get enough Eagle mistakes?

I hear ya, and I hope you are right about the mistakes - I think we will need them...

Madieu Williams would start in Whitner's stead, apparently. Hadn't seen that posted. I'd rather go with Smith.
