New Song Sucks

not sure if they inteded to do it on purpose because i thought i heard it only after the 3rd goal. they rang a bell i thought that was cool and i know st.louis does it a chime for each goal scored

Yea, I think the owners want to do something that only NJ does. So changing the song makes sense...the next step should be should be something with our horn. One of the bells from "Hell's Bells" would be perfect, or even one of Undertaker's gongs.

People up in 200's still did the you suck chants during the new goal song..followed quickly by change it back chants which I thought were fitting.

Personally I thought the new song sounded a lot like the Rangers goal song toward the end. Not a fan even though I like Bon Jovi. They could've atleast chosen a song like Raise Your Hands that actually mentions New Jersey in it.

i'm fine with the you suck part of the chant. i just think its wasted and dumb in meaningless situations. 13,000 at the game on a wed night in dec against the oilers meh. playoffs?rangers?flyers?pens? thats a little different then

Not sure but I know he owns an arena football team in Philly..or atleast did.

But Id guess if he was a hockey fan growing up in NJ in the 70s he would be a Ranger fan.

What a mess this has become. How the hell does a billionaire just go ahead and do this move without testing it in the preseason? Not sure if its true but I read that they had the old song running all preseason?

Poll the season ticket holders since its their butts you have to kiss. If the vote is close to change it then give some options ans let the fans vote.


Hurricane siren makes sense tilo not sure what they could do in jersey but a horn isn't unique.

I was at two of the preseason home games and they both had the old song.

Anybody can chant you suck. I could care less.
But when I go to the game, I pay attention to the game on the ice.
I don't go there to sing songs.
I think you all have nothing to worry about. The next game I am sure they will change the goal song since most fans consider it a failure.
More concerning is the team itself except a few.

I think fans will grow to like whatever song plays after their team scores a goal. Sens play Usher whenever they score so it could get worse.
