Still pissed over the infamous tradeIf I had a vote in the process, I would have a difficult time deciding between:
Chan Ho Park
and
Whataburger Park
Still pissed over the infamous trade
The trade with Atlanta that landed Tex and that group. That guy is from Atlanta and I thought he was digging us by the Whataburger remark.Which trade? Chan Ho Park was signed as a free agent. Are you referring to the Otsuka/Eaton for A Gonzalez/C Young trade?

My mistake. Hope you get to visit. And hope you get the Whataburger. It wasn't a dig. I actually love Whataburger. I haven't eaten at one in a while though. I used to live on the east coast of Florida, and there was one close by but it closed. Wish there was one here in Virginia.
I would also like to visit the Rangers park some day.

Wonder if Nolan taking a job with HOU combined with Globe being in OKC means we flip flop AAA franchises again?
No exact financial terms of the naming rights deal yet, but according to Ron Januszewski (Rangers Executive VP), the deal will be one of the highest ever for naming rights. He said it puts them "top-2 in baseball" as far as naming revenue.
That helps
It's the only reason to sell the rights. I hope they add revenue anyway that is practical and doesn't take away from the fan experience.
Hope not, screw Oklahoma
Personally I preferred having our AAA team in OKC versus Round Rock.
You are welcome to that opinion, but OKC can suck it. Round Rock is perfect to grow the brand in what used to be Astros country. Austin is a huuuuge market for sports and they could probably support their own baseball team, so having the Rangers AAA team in the fastest growing area of Texas is probably a wise business decision.
I have been in Round Rock the last couple days and it is a fantastic market and the area really supports the ball club. Dell Diamond is also a good place to take in a game as well, pretty fun atmosphere for minor league baseball
