Hi I'm The Count Love the Giants. I'm a huge baseball history fan. I'm not a big sabers guy, but I do see a slight use of ERA+, but that's about it. Been a baseball fan since 1963 , when I was 7. I remember my first $.01 baseball card in 63 was Cal Koonce on the Cubs. I'm glad that he got the ring in 69, just for that. Looking forward to great baseball talk.

Been posting on the ESPN boards since 2000, with a brief stint at TheFanatic when they changed the formatting of the ESPN boards to the lousy state it''s in right now (but I begrudgingly went back to ESPN when TheFanatic was shut down)....so I've been hearing good things about SportsHoopla, and here I am.

Good to see some familiar names from ESPN.

Just to be helpful to others that post here in the future, you may want to state from which site you are coming from. I say that, as I know that a lot of the recent arrivals are coming from ESPN, but there was also the mass joining back in April from a lot of us from CBS.

Just trying to be helpful, and trying to do just a little in getting posting friends back together.

Givr ya one guess which fanbase I'm of lol. Tiger fan since the mid 70s.. and, in that time, I have seen sooo many up and down periods with the Tigers that I feel like I've been on an uber-roller coaster during my fandom.
75-77 poor team
78-88 good to very good
89-90 poor team
91-93 good team
94-05 poor to historically awful
06-13 pretty good to very good, minus 08

Hopefully, with Illitch's open wallet, and DDs 'trigger happy' acquision philosophy this era lasts awhile.

Without this info, I can share that, in general, there are a lot of folks from the old CBS message board, and, a lot of folks from ESPN, as their message board option there is ending soon.
