New Lions fan born last night!!!!!!!!!!!!

Born 8:17 pm Weighing 8 lbs 10 ounces and 21 inches long. If his hands and feet are any indication of how big he will be, we are going to have some big grocery bills in the upcoming years.

I think the best thing possible happened, as we didn't have a chance to be nervous or worry. We went for a regular checkup and wife was having blurred vision and high blood pressure and they sent us to the hospital immediately to have a C-Section. Left doctors office at 4:45 -- at the hospital at 5:15, prepped for surgery started at 6:00, baby born 2 hours later. What a ride.

Baby and Mom are both healthy and we couldn't be happier.

Wife has her entire family up there right now caring for the baby, while she gets some sleep. I had to come back home to bring a blanket and hat with the baby smell on it so I could get our dog accustomed to the new smell and prepared for the new arrival.

Is this your first?

Yeah -- this is our first and more than likely our only. Wife was told she couldn't conceive after a surgery she had a while ago. We tried for about 7 or 8 years and once we finally gave up and started talking about adoption, our little miracle arrived.

Will be interesting to see how it works out with our dog -- I just brought another blanket home for the dog to smell. Baby has been ok'd to come home by the hospital and wife is waiting for the doctor to give her the ok and hopefully they will all be home for mother's day!!!

Thank you for all the congrats -- It is going to be a fun ride, but I am just realizing now what sleep deprivation is. I don't think i've slept but 2 or 3 hours total over the last two days.
