i'll take that as our top line..they were the best line in hockey in the playoffs. and are looking amazing this year too

Everyone on the HBL Line had a goal last night, and I bet they'd have another if they were first

I'd rather see Nodl instead of Powe on a scoring line, but I can't complain too much given the results.

It had to have been the hair.

i actually really like powe on a scoring line..hes so fast, i feel like he could turn into a scrappy speedy 10-12 goal a year type winger

He has become my wife's favorite player. She has a lot going on so doesn't sit and watch the whole games with me, but when she stops for second and watches she always says "is he the only guy who's trying every shift??" lol

its true though, hes always hustling and his speed and grit really make him easy to like. even if hes not always getting goals hes still trying really hard, reminds me a little of upshall, even when upshall wasnt getting goals he still was going balls to the wall. powe has never really played with offensive guys either..imagine him playing a full season alongside a richards and a giroux..he could easy eclipse 10-12 goals, if not more. not to mention hes a good PKer. and after this season one of carter, leino and zherdev won't be here, so if he can find his offensive game it sure will be nice to have a scrappy winger like him around

I'm not so sure about his touch around the net, but nobody can question the guys heart, team commitment and determination.

Shit....who knows....at this pace, he may just be moved up to see what he can do with more skill around him.

Then again -- after just checking his career numbers at Princeton, his stats don't exactly scream offensive finesse. :)

Im pretty sure Powe started last season on fire. He had like 5 goals in the first 12 games. Not sure what line he was on then. I think he was with Richards because our original 4th line was Lappy-Betts-Carcillo. Ive always liked him. He takes some big hits but gets right back up

Thank the lord they made this change of lines I was about to lose it! : ) They looked like a new team out there and Richie looked like he had his handcuffs removed. At least they have 3 lines playing good hockey hopefully Carts going back to center will wake him up too....then they'd be really dangerous!

if carter regains his 08-09 form imagine how scary this team will be..
the briere leino hartnell line is good for at least a goal a game as well. scary.

I believe Carter is our best faceoff man. It just makes sense to keep him at center. Giroux will have to find his way on the wing. Yes, the line of Briere, Leino and Hartnell is clearly dominant right now. If we just get two other highly talented lines going along with the power play, we will see five or more goals scored a lot more often this season. I think they showed that our record is 43-0-3 since 2006 when we score 5 or more goals, so why not try to net 5 as often as possible? I like Giroux with Richie and I think Powe could score 15-20 goals on that line if he were to consistently get the minutes and without injury. He had 9 in 63 games last season without regularly being on one of the top three lines.

Woohooo I'm pumped for the new lines and the blowout win. Is it to much to ask to have this team play like this everynight and keep the fans happy. Let's get on a roll now. Maybe Lavi reaqds this board and plans his game strategy around it.

He had that shoulder injury and really did not score much after that. Not sure if it was because his duties changed or not. He can fly and loves to hit. It was that solid ECAC traing he received while at Princeton!

Columbus tonight. Hopefully these lines prove to be more then a one-night stand.
