Rolle is a tackling machine, he is a fine replacement for Conte, and I agree with the above, these are all 1 year deals in essence. You can't tell me he isn't better, even at his old age, than anything we had last season or the 3-4 seasons before. Is he the answer in 3 years... no. Stop gap, that's all.

I hope the Bears nab that other Safety they're looking at. They would make a nice pairing.

Yea, Conte was a FS, Rolle is basically taking Mundy's place. My bad, was distracted when I wrote that.

In all fairness, I think Conte is a fine safety when he's healthy.

When on the field last year, our D was better. Be it brief or not, he made plays when on the field. His pick in SF was POY candidate in my opinion.

He post-NFL life is worrisome. It sucks but ya love that mentality from a safety, even if it generally derails their own career, ala Mike Brown.
