It's kind of funny we're hearing some whining about Missouri and the SEC bias....

Back in 2007, still a Big 12 team, Missouri started the season unranked coming off an 8-5 year. After defeating Illinois, Ole Miss, Western Michigan, Illinois State, and Nebraska.....Missouri found themselves ranked #11 after 5 games.

Here we are a few years later, Missouri...now in the SEC, started the season unranked. After defeating Murray St., Toledo, Indiana, Arky St., Vanderbilt, UGA, and Florida.....Missouri finds themselves ranked #5 after 7 games.

Is there really THAT much of a difference here to say that SEC bias is at work for Mizzou? Was there Big 12 bias back then?

#5 to #11 is a pretty big gap, yes. I'd buy Mizzou at #10 right now I guess.

meh, we haven't really beaten anybody

we'll see this weekend how good we really are when we go to Norman... but let me tell, A LOT of past Tech football teams would have lost that game against West Virginia

we got lucky with the easy games up front... but now we got Oklahoma, Okie State, Kansas State, Baylor, and Texas

Texas will probably be playing their best football of the season by then, and it's on Thanksgiving in Austin... Baylor is at Jerryworld, it would be sick if we were both undefeated

Eh, they're Ohio St. There is some legit NFL talent on that team. If Mizzou wants to pass them, they just have to keep beating SEC teams.

The only thing I don't get about the SEC, is how every fan of a single SEC team, all of a sudden becomes a fan of whoever the power SEC team is at the moment.

There's no excuse for losing to FCS, but it was flukey and due primarily to 1st game defensive/schematic issues. If those two teams played again, I suspect Oregon State would win by 40. I don't think they're a top 15 team though. I'm not sure they're one of the 6 best teams in the Pac 12.
