This. Also, i noticed you (Smart) dropped Nebraska out of your top 25, but they played without Rex Burkhead. We have no way to know if Arkansas is a top 10 team, they might not be better than UNC, or Nebraska who both lost games and were playing without their best player. Arkansas gave up a lot 14 points to ULM in the 4th quarter, and a TD in overtime, thats not Tyler Wilsons fault.

Nebraska was my first team out. I honestly wanted to keep them in there, and thought that I would.

At the same time, there is a difference between a guy who missed an entire game, and a situation where there is clear evidence that the team would have won if the injured player had stayed in the game. The better analogy would have been if Nebraska had lost against Southern Miss after leading when Burkhead left. I probably would have ranked them, or at least not dropped them as far as normal.

* FWIW, Wisconsin had a similar situation this week as well, with Jared Abbredaris (the best receiver in the conference) missing the last three quarters. Had our offense shown signs of life before he was injured, I would have ranked us as well.

I don't know. I saw two key Nebraska "drops" because receivers lost the ball in the Rose Bowl lights. The fanbases were about even, but there were some aspects of a road game.

I dropped Wisconsin and Arkansas out of my rankings this week because they've struggled; Nebraska played a game against a very good team in UCLA and lost. IMO, Arky and Wisky were both overrated from the get go.

I did; I don't care how good ULM is or how bad the backup QB is. If tSEC truly is dominant, Arkansas should not lose to a non-AQ opponent.

I don't think it has anything to do with SEC dominance and everything to with their reliance on their QB and their defense being WAY over hyped.

It is still too early right now to know how good most of the teams are. I thought it was ridiculous that LSU was ranked 3rd and still is ranked 3rd after the team they put on the field last year and the fact that most of their starters returned. In fact this LSU team is likely better than last years LSU team. LSU was my preseason #1. I started drinking Bama coolaid after they beat Michigan. Right now I think Alabama and LSU are about even and a MILE ahead of everyone else.

Yep. We didn't have our starting QB at all this week, but managed to beat the shit out of the patsy we played. No excuse for Arky.
