It looks like Nadal will skip the Miami Open. I'm sad, because he's been to 5 Finals, but never won. He hasn't played there since 2017. With how competitive these guys are, I'd think he'd try to win every one he could.

I'd like to think that if he had entered 5 more times, he would have won one.

I’m not going to start another thread for this comment. But tennis needs to do something about this fucking screeching that’s going on. Sabalenka should be taken out and fucking shot. It’s ridiculous. So happy to see her lose.

She can hit shots without grunts, there are probably other more mysterious and non mysterious reasons for this! It’s an added screech not an involuntary one I believe. Seles started this trend of excessive noise and players just have embraced and adopted this extra on court behavior !

Not all and it is pointless.

Just ban it. Azarenka was brutal too. And the part that bugs me was if she missed a shot sheet stopped her screech halfway through instead of letting it go to the point where the other player was hitting it.

Something was wrong with Sinner’s left leg. He looked deflated after he reached for his left hamstring with his hand in the second set!

Amazing play by Colonel Alcaraz though, he really went for the jugular after he saw he was getting in Sinner’s head. Sinner’s fall and subsequent hand getting hurt didn’t help matters any for him either!

Alcaraz has momentum going into Miami! But he hasn’t done well in the Florida atmosphere in the past. Sinner will be fired up. Should be a great event even without Nadal and Djoko!

Darn, sucks.

Nadal hasn't played Miami since 2017. He's a 5 time Finalist. I wish he'd play it. I'd like to think that if he entered every year he was healthy, he could have finally won it.

He's won Indian Wells 3x, Canada 5x, Cincinnati 1x, Shanghai 1x. Given his success on those other hard courts, he could have come closer to having the career Masters 1000 set.

Alcaraz has no serve !! After double faulting several times he keeps banging the ball into the net. No life in his movements. Horrible drop shots also slamming into the net.

Finally after holding a vital service game at 1-4, Alcaraz breaks at love 3-4 with serve to come!

Dimitrov wins 6-2,6-4 despite the Alcaraz comeback. Alcatraz’s spotty serve came back while serving to stay in the match. Good win by Dimitrov but the problem is that he is old now and will not be able to sustain this level in the next match and will probably lose.
