OK. Even if Martin and TRich are a wash (I don't think they are, although TRich is top 6 in my book too), he is still giving CJ and Bowe for Bush. That is classic over paying for a specific player that the other owner obviously knows he has a mancrush on.

Actually he doesn't. The only reason this came up is because he posted a thread on the league page about needing a WR because he's starting Sydney Rice right now and doesn't want to, so I offered him a trade.

The overpaying for Bush, as I said, is because I felt comfortable going in with either Hilton or G Tate as my WR2 if it means I have a RB who could have top-tier WR potential on # of catches. Like I said, there were a lot of variables that I wanted to ask about on here. Why are you getting so aggravated?

I ask for the same reason anyone does, to get another point of view. Maybe there's something I don't know about when it comes to these players.

I really don't think CJ is close to Bush in a PPR. Shit, Bush could beat Larry Centers' record for catches by a RB in a season in that offense. Maybe I'm wrong, and I hope I am, because I ended up not doing the trade. Tennessee threw to their backs a little over a third as much as Detroit did in 2012, and I'm just really thinking of the upside. CJ will have more yards on the ground, no doubt, but I could see a potential 40-50 receptions separating them unfortunately. Like I said, with all the variables, that's why I come on here and ask.

You may be right, but it still isn't a very good value based on what we know today. Bush may catch 100 balls and rush for 800 yards. Thing is, they might also use Bell and Leshoure a lot more than owners are prepared for. If that happens, Bush is more like Sproles +. He would still be a good PPR player, but not worth CJ and Bowe who are both good PPR players.

Well since you put it that way, it makes a lot more sense to not do it even though I like TR better than Martin

asks for advice then argues........do the deal

SOX33OSU,

Dude, you are the one being confrontational. You ask for viewpoints, if you don't agree, then fine. If you call people out who are trying to offer their viewpoints, then you might not get any next time you ask. :noidea:

I argued with you about 1 aspect of the trade, and others even agreed with me. If I have conflicting advice, that means I'm supposed to agree with both then? :noidea:

You don't have to agree. Just don't be an ass to people who are trying to help you.

Alright, explain to me how I was being an ass when all I said to you was "I disagree with you and here's why".

Lighten up, dude. Message boards are for debate. I don't ask for advice on here because I'm a dunce, I ask for it because I respect the opinions of several on here. Doesn't mean we're going to agree with every single aspect, but you need to learn to deal with it without getting up in arms over it.

You mean I'm right and you got all upset and can't even defend the way you acted?

Gotcha. :thumb:

I have no reason to start fights on here, but I'm not gonna be sorry for merely stating an opinion in a completely non-confrontational way.

Don't do it. Davone Bess should be somewhere in fantasy free agency. I don't like Alex Smith as well, but I'd stick with Bowe over Bess. T-Rich and Martin is what and what. Bush is going to be crazy in a ppr format but I don't think he's worth obtaining if you're giving up Bowe for Bess. I'd rather ride it out with CJ than take that deal

Well let me ask this - would you rather have T-Rich, Reggie Bush, Randall Cobb and TY Hilton/Golden Tate, or Doug Martin, CJ1K, Randall Cobb and Bowe?

Maybe Bush gets the edge in ppr, but once again imo, the difference between Bowe and TY/Tate is bigger(although there is the Alex Smith factor). As for Hilton, for some ODD reason the Colts are sticking with DHB as a starting receiver over TY even though TY has been tearing it up, and Tate hasn't really impressed much in the preseason although he DOES have a really good oppurtunity to put up numbers with Harvin out. I'd personally take Martin,CJ, Cobb, and Bowe

Personally I think it's a toss up, don't really see an upside to either side at this point in the season and I think you can argue each side

LoL, apparently you're supposed to just blindly accept any advice that people give you and you're not allowed to have an opinion of your own. Got it.

Anyway, here's my $0.02, take it for what it's worth. I think you have a bit of a man crush on Reggie Bush, which is understandable in PPR. But I think you're looking at this for the upside and not necessarily for the expected, at least to some extent.

On paper, I don't see this as an even trade. I think you're giving up way too much for Bush. The real question here is if you're willing to gamble on this feeling you have or not. Personally, I wouldn't. I like Bush, but I don't like him THAT much.

Yeah, your bolded part is exactly right evidently. I've learned my lesson and will make sure to never challenge another person's advice at all ever again.

As far as the man crush, I really do. It's crazy, but I was sincerely considering taking him over Doug Martin in our draft, and I still wonder if I should have. I just look at that offense and the fact that their offensive line still isn't that good, and honestly I think Bush might be the second-best pass catcher on the team. If Bowe repeats his 2010 (72/1162/15), then there's nothing Bush can do that would make up for that. At this point, I'm hoping for something close, and I guess in an Andy Reid system, that can happen. Hell, if he can give me Desean Jackson 2009 (62/1156/9) out of the WR2 spot, I'll be fine I'm sure.

I dunno, just bc DHB is penciled in as a starter doesn't mean T.Y. won't be used often. They may like him as a it guy, where he did a ton of damage last year.

I would still not mind having him as a #2/3 WR on my teams, and I in fact already do. ;) I can see him having a big year especially with having another offseason working with Luck.

TRich and Doug Martin are really not a wash. Martin is a better receiver and plays for a better offense
What makes Martin a better receiver? TRich actually had 2 more catches last year, just had 100 less yards. Yes, last year TB had the better offense. But Martin still didn't run away with receiving stats. But I see Norv using TRich like he did with LT for all those years. Like I said, I don't feel Martin is hands down the better receiver.

Sox, I'd try to put together another deal. If u really like Bush and TRich, then try for a bit better receiver. Doesn't have to be #1 material, but someone better than Bess.

I don't think Sox "called anyone out". He initially only disagreed with the TRich segment. And yes he came here for advice, but maybe he was looking for more reasons for confirmation? I know a lot of times I will ask for advice, even having a decision close at hand. Many times I'm looking for that one piece of advice I haven't thought of to put my decision, one way or another, over the edge.

Correct me of I'm wrong, but I think that's what he's looking for.

They can pencil in DHB all they want right now. By week 2 or at the latest 3, Hilton will be running with Wayne. He is an exponentially better player than DHB and he showed it all preseason long (and last season, as well).

That's pretty much what I was trying to say. I'm not sure how that made me an ass. Thanks for the objective POV, and you were exactly right about what I was looking for.
