Brazil is tweeting that end of year interviews are not done yet and Wilson won't be commenting on the status of the coaching staff. His accuracy seems to be about 50/50 so we'll see.

Wilson holds off on vote of confidence for coaching staff. Says #sjsharks review process not yet complete

Sometime over the next few weeks" is when decision made on #sjsharks coaches. Doesn't want to rush

It's Wilson holding the presser not the ownership isn't it?

I figure Dougie will recap the failures of this season then go on to say a lot of stuff without acutally saying anything.

He is good at that. I didn't really expect to hear anything of substance this early anyway.

UPDATE: Doug Wilson got a vote of confidence from the Sharks ownership group this morning, but he wasn’t ready to do the same for his coaching staff just yet.

Wilson said he has not yet completed the review process and until he does, there won’t be any decision made on Todd McLellan’s future or that of his assistants.

“Sometime over the next few weeks,” that process will be completed, Wilson said, adding that the post-season interviews have been emotional and taking longer than expected, hence the extended time frame. END UPDATE

The post-season interviews have been emotional?

They most not have gotten to "Thornton, Joe" yet on the list, assuming they're going alphabetically... LOL! :p

Interesting potential "insider info" from the blog:

Not surprised I stated this fact a week ago. Because I was told that management was not willing to pay Doug Wilson his last year of his contract, so they were keeping him around. This a financial decision, not a hockey decision. But I am sure the PR Department experts like GP will tell us otherwise.

We were told today that both Doug Wilson and Todd McLellan will be returning next year. According to our boss the ownership was split on firing Wilson, but in the end did not want to pay him and another general manager money.

It is called Economics people. Was also told that McLellan received a 2-year contract extension.

We'll see how right they are soon...

"Boyle, Dan" would be near the top and we know he is emotional. Maybe the most emotional guy on the team. He is accountable for sure.

If McClellan is back, at least get rid of Shaw and Woody.

Yes, please.

I'd be OK with keeping McLellan if those two tools are gone.

I'm NOT OK with Dougie staying but it looks like that battle has already been lost. :L

Have no idea how reliable this information is, but if the second comment is even kind of true, that ownership was split on retaining Dougie, I am very encouraged by that. Could mean that another year with another early out in the playoffs, which will have been brought about by yet more poor trades and a total inability to resolve his Thornton/Mareleau dependency... Well, we might actually see Doug get his walking papers next year...

This actually brightened my day a bit..

I don't really like Granato... why is everyone so high on him all the time, anyway?

I'm ready to see Ricci back there as an assistant. He cannot possibly be worse than those two clowns.

If the Jackets are smart they'll keep Richards as head coach and I don't see Granato leaving Pitt unless it's to move up to a head coaching position.

I'd like to see Ricci behind the bench to coach the forwards then see Wilson bring in a veteran assistant who's a PK specialist to handle the defence.

Hey maybe Doug should hire Ron Wilson as a asst. I'm sure he can motivate Marleau.

Ricci behind the bench would be a great idea. If he's as passionate about coaching as he was about playing, get him in a coach's suit now.
