I'm really just preparing myself for disappointment.

I'm taking off work early today so I can get home and get prepped for the game. Been excited for this game for a week now.

I just sorta like Husker Basketball en sech

I am meeting a colleague after work tonight for a few beverages and if the place we are going (which has plenty of tv's tuned to sports) does not have the Husker game on, I will lose it..."Falling Down" style.

And I think we can all agree...if NCAA tourney is going to be in the convo, tonight is a must win.

Yea a win tonight would boost Nebraska right into the NCAA picture.

Everyone would be forced to forget about any losses we had prior with wins over Ohio State, Minnesota, Indiana, and Michigan.

I think Nebraska could afford to lose this game and a couple more and still have a shot. On BTN Monday night they were talking about 9-9 being good enough for bubble conversation just due to the fact that it's the Big 10.

Even if we lose 3 more games starting today we would still be 10-8 heading into the Big 10 Tourney which would likely be a 5 seed or so.

I do think we have to go at least 7-3 though starting tonight

Every win in Big 10 play with the exception of Purdue right now is a quality win in the RPI.

Need to win the 5 remaining home games. Illinois, Penn St, Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin. (Not tooooo far fetched)

Need to steal 2 of the remaining road games: @ Michigan, Northwestern, Michigan St, Illinois, Indiana.

Northwestern and Illinois would be their best chances.

Even so, they'll probably need a win or two in the conference tournament.

Won't be unhappy with this team win or lose tonight..but I'm wondering if what I see at home can translate to the road. If so, Huskers have a shot to win this one.

It would be a signature win and the biggest since joining the B1G. Would put Nebrasketball on blast nationally for sure.

Can't wait.
