Guys, I'm friggin stoked for the future of this team. We got some straight up studs on the offensive side of the ball.
Some good recruiting on the other side of the ball and reduce the penalties and this team is a contender.
0-5 sucks. But not as bad as 4-8 and no hope for the future.

I watched Northwestern a lot today. They didn't look fantastic. Looked like we could match up. Might be a winnable game.

Huskers usually flat out shits themselves in Madison, Tonight, they simply did exactly like they have all year whereas the offense put up the yardage, defense actually looked good at times and bad penalty/turnovers were situation normal. The future looks much better than the recent past.

500 yds offense. At times AM looks like a future hiesman candidate, but the other times he’s still a JR in HS. Our OL have got to give him some help, Farniok about put the game out of reach all by his little self

the offense was an inferno? i guess 518 yards isn't good enough for you? the penalties though, drive killers, so i guess on that part. not sure if Jurgens can stop the other guys from doing that. maybe he can block their guys and his own a the same time?

but seriously, the offense is starting to figure it out, although need to see it throughout the first half instead of waiting for the 2nd. Also, really curious why Frost completely abandoned the run from basically the get go. I know they talked the whole game about Wiscy's young secondary and taking advantage, but Wiscy was giving up 4.4yds a carry coming into the game and seemed like something you would have tested more often than:
1st drive: 1 AM run (1yd), 4plays, Punt
2nd drive: 2 AM runs (8, 1), incomplete pass on 3rd down, 3&Out, Punt
3rd drive: 1 MW run (4yds), FG
4th drive: 2 AM runs (11, 6) and 1 Oz (5yds), NU goes for it on 4th & 11 because they were in an inbetween area at Wiscy's 37.
5th drive: end of 1st half attempting to score, so not even looking. 3 and out though and had to Punt

ESPN's play by play doesn't give whether a designed run or run on a pass attempt.

So, i just don't get it, Wiscy's D has always seemed susceptible to me on the QB run, particularly the option and we hardly attempted it. especially that 4th drive, when you hit 3 runs, we go into a 2nd &7 at the W33. only down 13-3, keep running it, even if you are just settling for a FG, 13-6 and a rested D that gets a boost from the fact you guys scored. instead AM takes a silly sack if I remember correctly (he had plenty of time and ran around awhile and then instead of throwing it OB, he takes the sack). Then on 3&12 from the 38, stupid Farniok penalty that kills the drive. then you come away with 0 points. Give Wiscy a short field and our D just gets gashed by everything Wiscy threw at it. tack on another Lamar PI penalty and it's a TD in like 1:30 of time.

Yeah I was having second thoughts about that too. Maybe I should of said next week.

Turn around is simply getting things going in the right direction.
The more Ws than Ls, year 2 is not that high a bar. I see know reason they shouldn't be able to go 7-5 and certainly would not place that as the final goal. It is a stepping stone.
But if you think my expectations are not realistic...meh.
