I don't hide batteries. They're in the drawer next to the fridge. AAA's, AA's, C's, D's and 9 volts.

If the peeps need batteries they know where to find them. The mini-Philips is right there with them. Just don't forget to put it back or you'll never hear the end of it.

Me mom and dad were pretty strict when it came to that stuff.

My bedtime then was 7:45 I remember. I wasn't to have any batteries for that radio or anything.

Shit I think that game in Tokyo started at like 9 o'clock or somethin......I heard the entire thing. Mommy and Daddy were surprised how much I knew about it the next morning

I remember listening to the 71 and 76 Hawaii games on my AM radio while I was in bed.

Don't think my folks cared though.

You saying Hawaii made me think of when we played Pacific those couple of years back in the day.

When I was a kid I just automatically thought Pacific was from way out there in the middle of the Ocean by Hawaii.

I always figured the reason they sucked so bad is because they were so far away from the Continental U.S. that they didn't know how Football worked

It's funny how just the mention of listening to a game on the radio brings back memories. I have vivid memories of back in the day when Husker games weren't televised as often and there was no Pay-per-view so your only option was radio. I'm not old enough to remember listening to Bremser but I can hear Pavelka's voice as I'm typing this. My dad and I have the radio turned up loud enough where we can hear it all the way outside and I'm helping him do yard work and chores around the house on a nice fall day.

You kids these days are spoiled with every single game being televised, but I wouldn't give up those memories of listening on the radio with my dad for anything.

Uh oh, I listened to Lyle Bremser while he was ALIVE.

"Man, woman, and child"

"IM Hipp", Instant Miracle.

Tommy to start again first time on the road

Give tmart 2 more weeks to rest then I'm sure the minny game will be a chance to see if he can go
Before the nwestern game

I wouldn't be too surprise to see tommy start the wildcat game. Tmart only thing holding him back is his explosion when running which if that case who knows when he might return. The biggest game on the road is the Michigan game which is a month away. That a game were gonna want all our aces healthy and ready winner once again has the inside track to CC game

One of favorite Bremser sayings was when the Husker Defense would lower the boom on a runner and Bremser called it a "De-cleater!"

remember Jarvis Redwine ??

I remember that Oklahoma game when he busted a long run and was flagged for taunting as he ran down the sideline. Coach Osborne made him run steps all week for that one.
