You just named a bunch of schools with more historical success than Oregon.
A bunch? Let's not get crazy lol. Mizzou hasn't won a conference title in a century or so. Not sure Kansas or Iowa St ever have. I'll give you Colorado but it's close and K State was worse than all of them til like 20 years ago

Hence the post I made directly after.

And yeah Nebraska has practially, if not literally won more conference championships than the old Big 12 north and the B1G West combined.

I read the article then there was a link showing Snyder, KSU's head coach, saying he doesn't think Nebraska is happy with the B1G.

All jokes aside, the point was brought up that Nebraska's B1G home games are like Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota and Maryland. Not only do those games probably not excite many, they are from long distances and zero tradition associated with them.

I mean when Nebraska is beating up Iowa State, at least there is tradition in it that they have played the Cyclones for a long long time, and there is a closeness in proximity to it.

Also you look at Nebraska's location in the B1G geographically. They must suffer that they no longer have a pipeline to Texas, or at least no Texas kids feel committing to Nebraska at least they would play in theier home state of Texas. Nebraska has to try and solidify themselves in Ohio and Pennsylvania territory which has been owned by the Buckeys, Wolverines, Penn State and the rest of the B1G powerhouses.

Sure it's probably nice for Nebraska to be in an academically prestigious conference, and a conference that is stable and not so unpredictable like the Big 12. And I think Nebraska also gets more $$ being in the B1G, but it has lost a lot as well.

However, if there was any truth to this article, I don't think Nebraska would go back if Oklahoma wasn't there.

Regardless of your opinion on the topic, the guy does bring up interesting points.

Nebraska doesn't even have as many nattys as Minnesota but yes they are certainly better than their division in the B12 was combined

I can't see any legit reason for any team to leave the B10. There are leagues teams leave and leagues teams go to. The B10 is the latter

To be the best, you have to play/beat the best. How is being the best of the worst in the p5 or 2nd worst (Pac 12) going to help Husker Nation return to glory??? I do not want EASY wins... I Want to be challenged, i want to be inspired to get better... not become complaisant in our ways... That is the difference between history, greatness, tradition, and what you ducks claim to have...

If you followed recruiting you'd know that we own California right now.

Yeah one school in California, and that is due to Mike Riley and his ties to the state.

On paper, going up against Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor and possibly Houston does not scream weak.

Nebraska can stay in the B1G, try and build recruiting pipelines in the Midwest, and of course over time build rivalries with B1G teams, as rivalries always require history.

The problem is if you cant build that pipeline to the Midwest how long can you hold down California and Texas?

It should be stated that during Nebraska's golden years, they didn't have ties to the state of Texas. Unless you count OU, and I'm not sure why you would.

Yeah the top public school in the country right now for talent.

It's not just one school either.

Minnesota titles are legit. They are almost all what later became the AP. I don't care about ir,even know what an unclaimed national title is.

Yes being a National brand with REAL national championships limits our recruiting to the states within our own league... I forgot about that NCAA rule where we were forbidden from recruiting outside the state. I think there is a typographical error on our starting qb who holds multiple records... for some reason it says he is from california but that cannot be right according to your rules...

I get it Huskers, you guys are 5-0 #12 ranking and things seem and feel real good right now.

But at my Ducks expense, your 5-0 record comes against teams where only 1? Wyoming? has a winning record.

I don't see Nebraska leaving the Big10, especially if OU isn't in the Big12. About recruiting, although playing in a region helps, you can recruit nationally as long as you have the coach and the brand name.
