ABC/ESPN and the Big Ten Conference announced the start time and television information for Nebraska's football game at Iowa on Friday, Nov. 23. The second annual Heroes Game at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City will be televised by ABC with kickoff set for 11 a.m.

The Nebraska-Iowa game is being played on the day after Thanksgiving for the second straight year. Nebraska defeated the Hawkeyes 20-7 in Lincoln last fall to claim the Heroes Trophy. This year's game in Iowa City will mark Nebraska's first visit to Kinnick Stadium since a 42-7 victory in the 1999 season opener. Nebraska is 8-6 all-time against the Hawkeyes in Iowa City.

The 2012 matchup between the Legends Division foes will mark the 23rd straight season Nebraska has played on the day after Thanksgiving. Nebraska played Oklahoma from 1990 to 1995 in the final six seasons of the Big Eight Conference, and Colorado on that day in each of the 15 seasons the two schools were in the Big 12 Conference (1996-2010). Nebraska has a 17-5 record in its 22-year streak of playing on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Nebraska previously announced that three of its Big Ten games have been selected for a prime-time telecast on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2. The Huskers' home games against Wisconsin (Sept. 29) and Michigan (Oct. 27) and a road trip to Ohio State (Oct. 6) will all have 7 p.m. kickoffs.

Kickoff times and television information for the first three games of the season are expected to be announced by early June.
